Understanding Your Baby

Keeping it Simple

Let me introduce myself…
My name is Mandie O’Shea, a passionate supporter of babies and their families.
I have 2 kids and still have vivid memories of how difficult and exhausting those early months were after bringing my babies home, not knowing what they wanted, wishing there was someone out there who could make the journey a little easier.

You would think that being a midwife and nurse with years of paediatric experience that I would know how to breast feed easily or get my baby to sleep (and stay asleep), but NO.

Bringing a new baby home can be one of the most challenging times of your life. You can feel pretty uneasy at a time when you are meant to be enjoying the newest member of your family.

If only I knew then what I know now!

I can help you, as new parents, feel confident with your baby.  By helping you understand how babies sleep and how you can help your baby to become a great sleeper.

For breast feeding mothers, support and professional help is now only a call away, to help you achieve your breast feeding goals. This knowledge and confidence can start before baby has even arrived!

Often there are three main areas of challenge for new parents (to be) and their babies.

1. Am I prepared to have this baby

2. How to get my baby to sleep (how much sleep do they need)

3. Breast feeding challenges.

However we don’t want to put your baby in a box – so let’s tailor our efforts to what you and your baby need.

I am a Registered nurse with over 30 years of experience, a Midwife, a Child and Family Health Nurse and a Lactation Consultant. Add this to 1,000’s of hours helping families, in their own homes to understand how they can best help their babies sleep and achieve their breast feeding goals, and help you and your family enjoy your journey with your baby.

This is now available wherever you may be, thanks to video links………
